Harry Potter Craziness!!!

Oh man!!!!!!!! Talk about the most epic movie of the year!!!

Curt and I watched Harry Potter with our good friends, the Pratts and the Petersons last Saturday. Talk about one crazy and awesome night. It started off when we met in Sandy for dinner at Chipotle... then since we had 2 hours to spare, we headed out to the South Towne Mall to walk around and just waste time. Besides, Alec's shoes got wet from the snow that poured down on us that night. After that, we finally went to the movies, hung out for a bit and then decided to finally sit down in the theater. Anyway, when we got there, the guy who takes the tickets noticed that our ticket stubs were supposed to be from the night before. Shockingly, Curt and I made a mistake and booked our tickets online and reserved our seats  for Friday night instead of Saturday. Gah!! Of course, I was totally panicking and stressing out. We went to guest services to see if they could fix the problem. She told us that she's not sure if she could get us good seats.. so I was mortified and was worried. This was supposed to be a good night to enjoy! Well, when she checked the availability, to our surprise, the seats that we booked for the previous night was available. It was awesome! We were all so happy and I even thought that Harry Potter was on our side and probably Dumbledore made it happen too from his grave. (I know, I'm weird like that!) But seriously, to think that luck was on our side that night, when the movie would've been sold out since it was opening weekend! It was completely magical! Haha!! Anyway, after that, we got in, sat comfortably, and watched with astonishment. Of course, who all of those who read the book and watched it.. I totally cried like a baby in the end. But even though there are critics out there that think it ended abruptly, I think it totally ended with a perfectly good cliffhanger just to make the audience go hungry for more! And maybe put them in torture for 6 months til the 2nd part comes out!! AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! LOL!

Stressful situations...

Sitting here in the living room with Tucker, a 5 month old baby boy that I've been taking care of for the past few weeks, I started thinking of things that I needed to do before the end of the year.
After Halloween, life has just been so stressful lately since Curt and I are preparing ourselves for some life changing experiences.
First, is that we'll be moving to his uncle's basement at the end of the month. We're both pretty excited about it since it's about 3x bigger than our current apartment right now, it's in a safer neighborhood (South Holladay) and it'll just feel more like home. Yay!!
Another, is that we both recently applied to Weber University and got accepted. The only challenge now is applying for their Nursing and Radiology programs. We're currently in the process of submitting our applications. I, on the other hand, still have some steps to do. Like, taking my CNA certification and passing it! Yikes!!

Also, another stresser for me is getting a Utah license. I've been trying to avoid getting one since I moved here.. since I'm still so attached with my California one. Haha!! I'm sure it's not that bad but the fact of me being an actual "UTAHN" is just weird.

So, we'll see how these following months go for us!!! Our fingers are crossed!!! Wish us luck!!!

First Halloween...

Posted by Roxy at 11:18 PM 1 comments
This year for halloween has had a twist on things. It was our first time having difficulty looking for a costume, our first time dressing up as a couple, and my first year not trick or treating!! So sad, no candies for me!!! :( I guess it's a good and bad thing at the same time. Haha!! It's a bittersweet thing!

Well, for this year, Curt and I had a hard time deciding who to be. Usually, it takes me a day or 2 to decide or pick a costume, the same goes for Curt. In 2 weeks, we've went to almost 7 different halloween stores to choose what we want. From Mario and Luigi, to Power Rangers, to even Star Wars and Prince of Persia. Finally after the torturous trips to halloween stores, we decided to go simple and cheap. We decided to be.... Harry Potter and Cho Chang. LOL!!! It was pretty much easy, perfect and quite funny at the same time. We just bought the cloaks at the store, and I went in Curt's closet and dug out a church shirt, socks, and his tie. The rest was a sweater and a skirt. I had to do the modest version. ;) And for Curt, same thing, he pretty much wore what he wears to church. Haha!! Thanks to our friends who were smart to bring a camera (Matt and James), we got some pretty good pics from Steph's party.

A pose for the camera!! LOL.. you could totally see how big Curt's shirt on me by the ruffles on my sleeve..
Grabbing a bite during the party!! That was some yummy chili!! :D

Yay Halloween!!!! Next stop.. Thanksgiving!!!
