Thank You.. Harry!

Yesterday was finally the day that Curt and I were able to watch the last Harry Potter movie. I have been waiting for this day since last year when we watched the 1st part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. But when the day came, we were in Moab. Then sadly, I had migraines all week so bright lights on a big screen wouldn't help me much and I was just dead tired everyday. So yesterday, Curt decided that we were going on a date and watch it. We went out and ate dinner at Tsunami, which was a really good Japanese place. I had the Lush roll while he had some Asian ribs. They were both really good. I was super hungry so after my roll I decided to swipe some from his plate. Haha! The ribs were really good and even though it was a lil spicy, the sweetness of the sauce made it yummier. We finished dinner half an hour early so we decided to just go to the movies and sit down while waiting. The theatre was empty at first but then right when it almost started, that's when people started flocking the theatre. It wasn't crowded but it wasn't that empty either. I even saw my co-worker Rachael.
When the movie I started, I kinda got teary-eyed just because I know that it was the end. I sat there while watching it, remembering the scenes from the book when I read it and I started crying my eyes out. From the attack of the school, to comrades dying, to Snape's final breath, the truth of his identity and his role throughout the entire story line, until the scene of Harry, Hermione, and Ron surviving through the whole thing. It was a good way this magnificent series. I wish and hope that they will compile the movies into one big thing like LOTR did just so that I know I will have the books and the movies to remember part of my childhood and share it to our children someday.

Whoa.. Chopsticks!!

 Yummy Gyozas!

Lush Roll.. (I started eating and then realized I wanted to take a pic!)

 Sweet and Spicy Asian-style Ribs

What busy week we've had. I almost think that Sunday is the only day that I could blog about my life instead of the usual daily or at least 4x a week thing. Anyway, we had an exciting/busy/crazy week = Migraines, wedding, and HP. Getting back from our trip from MOAB and adjusting to life again was pretty rough... specially for me. I've had migraines for the past few weeks which is no bueno at all. I had to miss work on Monday coz I was getting really sick. Due to that, I went ahead and got an acupuncture which was ok. I mean, I didn't see the usual gal that I went to but it was still had a weird experience. I went to a guy named Master Lu on State street. I was expecting to lay on a bed and get a relaxing treatment but instead he just made me sit on a chair and started poking needles on me and I had to sit there for 30 mins and expected me to feel better after. I didn't think it was worth $60 but oh well. Last Thursday was Matt and Sarah.'s wedding day. I give props to Sarah for waking up early on her own wedding day since the sealing was at 8:20am. Crazy! Our sealing was at 1 pm and I had to get up at 8:30ish to get ready and it was tough for me. It was a really nice and relaxing day though. Too bad we forgot to bring our camera so we don't have any pictures.

Curt and I have been busy all week! It doesn't feel like summer at all to us just because we've been running around like mad crazy people.. well at least I have haha! Anyway, I hope everyone had a good 4th of July. We kinda did since we spent most of the day cleaning out the apartment that we will be living in soon. (Yes, we are moving again, sadly!) But it's for a good cause. We saw some amazing fireworks and a good show at The Stadium of Fire down in Provo. It was probably one of the most amazing fireworks show I've seen. It was great!!! And we also got to sit close to the stagee.. David Archuleta was adorable and Brad Paisley is just a talented hottie! Even Curt was wowed by his amazing guitar skills. We were lucky to get two tickets from our good friends, Alec and Kelsey. Over the week, we were happy to also hang out with our dear friends, Molly and Matt again. It's been months since we've seen them. So yesterday, we all went out to dinner at WingCoop and introduced their fabulous wings. We had a fun time and chatted the night away. Of course, the girls weren't full yet so we decided to ditch the guys and head out to get some frozen yogurt from a new lil place in Holladay. YUM! After that, we drove down through Walker Lane in Holladay where we just admired the huge and beautiful houses and picked which one would be our future houses. (It's free to dream, right?!) LOL! Well, even though the week felt like it dragged, it still ended nicely. :)

Back to life...

Posted by Roxy at 9:26 PM 0 comments
Wow! It's been forever since my last posting. Life has been busier than ever. I've got two jobs right now: One at Lime Ricki Swimwear and the other is at Massage Envy. Needless to say, I enjoy working at both places. It kinda balances life for me I think haha! And yes, I am a workaholic. I hardly see my sweet hubby anymore coz I work too much! LOL! So, since it's the weekend and it's my only time to wind down a bit from my busy schedule, I decided to sit down, open my laptop and blog about what has happened in the past few weeks. Anyway, if you were wondering where I was.. I have been on an awesome cruise vacation with my hubby and his family. It was great!! It was a 4-day excursion from Long Beach, to Catalina Island, and to Ensenada, Mexico. We did a bunch of fun stuff. From eating tons of food, to parasailing, to surfing, and to cuddling with a cute lion cub!! I wished it never ended even though I got sea-sick during the last part of it. Besides, who doesn't want to live the life of just vacationing all the time? Haha! It was also nice to see my family again back home in California. The feeling of being home is just awesome even though I nearly die every time we visit coz they have cats and I am deadly allergic to them. But it was worth it because both the Haigh, O'Dell, and Buckmiller families got together for a great BBQ for a nice Father's Day celebration! Well, below are just some pictures to enjoy! : )

Parasailing at 1200ft!!!!!
