Still breathing and surviving + a baby in the family!

So far, I have made it through my first 2 weeks of hygiene school and honestly, it was rough. Our professors are great! Some are intimidating and some will make you laugh your head off. I'm not going to lie that it has been a stressful 2 weeks. And yes, I have already shed some tears from the stress and panic of not being able to get any homework or reading done. It's been one heck of a ride so far. A lot of memorization, lots of homework, and LOTS of studying. Holy caboodle!!! I was crying to Curt one night and asked him why I even joined this program and that I don't think I could ever do it. Right now, we are taking 9 classes summing up to 18-19 credits. Aaaahhhh!!!! One thing that stuck in my head was that one of professors told us that we already got through the hardest part.. Getting accepted in the program! I mean, I get what he was saying just because he knew that we were already stressing out about our classes, but we are the lucky ones of getting accepted and getting in. If they didn't see us having the potential of getting through this extensive and accelerated program, we would not be in our chairs in class right now. Those words of wisdom definitely made me feel a lot better about myself. I'm also glad that I met and made a few friends already. Our class is pretty awesome. Anyway, it's our 4-day weekend coz of the holiday. Thank goodness!!! It's nice having a break.. we totally needed it.
These are the classes that I am taking this semester:
  • Morphology
  • Radiology & Radiology Lab
  • Head and Neck Anatomy
  • Pre-Clinic Theory & Pre-Clinic Lab

  • Spanish

Here is my lovely schedule!!!

Also, one lovely thing happened last week!!! My sis-in-law Holly had her baby!!! She is so adorable!!! Curt and I were so happy when we finally got the message at around 2:30 am that she was born. Welcome to world Ivy Lynn Simmonds. We love you!!!
